test(perf): type-check the whole electron-backend-e2e project (#1869)
* test(e2e): fix type errors in four Electron E2E specs - category-management: the poll's message and 15 s timeout were passed to toBe(), which takes one argument, so the poll ran with the default 10 s timeout and message. Pass them to expect.poll(). - settings: evaluate<void, HTMLVideoElement> set the argument type, not the element type; type the callback parameter instead. - remote-control: keep the poll callback's writes visible to the return and fail with a clear error instead of casting null. - downloads: read the dataset key through its index signature. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(perf): fix type errors in the benchmark harness None of these changes behaviour for a capture the harness produces today: - cancellation report: a null playlist id on the request record now means unknown, like undefined, instead of matching only null DB records. - main capture: type the worker transport map so its unavailable-reason literals stay narrow. - worker request performance: a parsed capture carries non-null work timestamps; only the unavailable fallback reports null. - Xtream iteration: hand the teardown closure the narrowed app and data directory. - Xtream exact schema: return early when the identity is not an exact record instead of re-checking it three times. - Xtream assembly: reject an unpainted UI explicitly; the null-to-0 comparison already rejected it. - Xtream scenario driver: drop the always-null cancellation observer from prepare; trigger() installs it. - Electron process lifecycle: type the child process by the exit subscription it uses, so a test double need not return a ChildProcess. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(perf): fix type errors in the benchmark harness specs The dynamically imported helpers were checked with assert.equal(typeof fn, 'function'), which does not narrow, so later calls used fn?.(). assert.ok(typeof fn === 'function') narrows them. The rest types fixtures by the module under test, keeps closure-assigned callbacks visible after their callbacks run, and narrows nullable fixture values. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(perf): type-check the whole electron-backend-e2e project Widen the spec config's include from the journey harness to src/**/*.ts and the root Playwright configs, with no baseline or ignore list, and update the validation map and the journey checklist. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(perf): build a complete renderer fixture in the request-performance spec The fixture was cast through unknown, so the type check accepted an incomplete RendererCaptureMetrics. Fill every required field with neutral values; the summary reads only the probe arrays and heap fields. fix(ui): replace icon ligatures missing from the font and guard them (#1864)
* fix(ui): replace icon ligatures missing from the font and guard them The download and recording queues showed the literal text "file_off" for a missing file: the bundled Material Icons font (material-design-icons-iconfont 6.7.0) has no such ligature, so it rendered as text overflowing the icon box. Use error_outline, which the missing state's tertiary palette keeps distinct from the filled error glyph of a failed download. Add `pnpm run styles:icon-ligatures:validate` (CI): it parses templates with @angular/compiler and TypeScript with the compiler API, collects static <mat-icon> text, the string results of its bindings, icon/*Icon inputs and icon-named TypeScript values, and fails on a name missing from the font's codepoints file. Two listed codepoints the font has no ligature for (rounded_corner, stairs) are excluded. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(tools): check quoted inline templates in the icon guard Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(tools): accept every codepoint and report escaped template lines The first measurement rendered the names without the package's CSS. With material-design-icons.css, all 2,193 codepoint names, rounded_corner and stairs included, draw as one glyph, so the guard accepts the whole file. Inline templates now map each cooked position back to the source through escapes, line continuations and CRLF, so a name after `\n` in a quoted template is reported on the line it is written on. fix(collections): one confirmed Clear recently viewed action (#1865)
A playlist's own recently viewed page (/workspace/<provider>/<id>/recent, opened from the dashboard's recently viewed rails) showed two clear buttons: the page's "Clear recently viewed <type>", which confirms through createClearCollectionAction, and a header delete_sweep button that cleared every tab of the playlist at once without asking. Remove the header bulk action end to end, and the unreachable, unconfirmed clear button of the M3U channel list's recent view, so every clear goes through createClearCollectionAction. Drop the two i18n keys only those buttons used. E2E: a shared helper asserts one clear control per page and one confirmation per press; the M3U, Xtream and Stalker recent tests cancel first (rows stay), then clear once on the playlist's own recently viewed page. feat(settings): per-section pages with unsaved-changes bar (#1384)
* feat(settings): split settings into per-section pages with an unsaved-changes bar Replace the single scrolling settings page with routed section pages (/workspace/settings/:section): the context-panel rail links each section, only the active section renders, and unknown or capability-gated sections redirect to General. The shared form lives on the parent component, so staged edits survive section switches; a floating unsaved-changes bar (Save/Discard) replaces the always-visible footer Save button. Rail links navigate with replaceUrl so Back still leaves settings in one step. Along the way: - delete the unreachable settings dialog mode and the dead AppPortalNavigationActionsService with both of its never-injected DI tokens (PORTAL_NAVIGATION_ACTIONS, PLAYLIST_PLAYER_ACTIONS) - delete the scroll-spy directive and pendingScrollTarget plumbing - revive the EPG panel's "Open EPG settings" empty-state button as a deep link to /workspace/settings/epg; the M3U player now reports m3u-needs-setup only when the channel has no programmes and no EPG source exists in settings or on the playlist itself - load TMDB cache stats when the Metadata page opens (the section component now only exists while its page is open) - add SETTINGS.UNSAVED_CHANGES / SETTINGS.DISCARD_CHANGES to all 19 locales Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(settings): confirm before leaving with unsaved changes Add settingsUnsavedChangesGuard (canDeactivate on the :section route) with a three-action dialog: save and leave, leave without saving, keep editing. The guard only intercepts leaving the settings AREA — section switches share the one settings form and pass unconditionally, so the dialog can never nag while moving between pages. A failed save cancels the navigation instead of silently dropping the edits it promised to keep; leaving without saving also reverts the live theme preview. Save-and-leave is disabled while the form is invalid, with a hint explaining why. New SETTINGS.UNSAVED_DIALOG_* keys in all 19 locales. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(settings): stage cover size and EPG view mode; adapt e2e to section pages Cover size and EPG view mode were the only two controls that persisted eagerly on click, which made Discard (and leave-without-saving) unable to revert them: hydrateFromStore() faithfully reloaded the just-persisted edit. They now stage in the form like every other setting and reach the store on Save. Review finding by Greptile (P1) and Codex. E2E suites that walk through settings are updated for one-section-page rendering (epg, backup-roundtrip, xtream-epg, remote-control) and for the staged cover size (downloads asserts the dataset after Save); the EPG icon fallback test saves before leaving settings so the new unsaved-changes dialog does not block its navigation. feat(downloads): pause and resume support for the download manager (#1147)
Adds a paused state to the Electron download manager with a full partial-file lifecycle: - Pause keeps the .part and byte progress; cancel discards them; every lifecycle stage (queued, active, mid-transfer) is pausable. - Resume continues via HTTP Range with If-Range entity validation (strong ETag / Last-Modified persisted in the new resume_validator column, idempotent migration incl. legacy-table rebuild). Non-206 answers restart from zero over the same .part; the 206 Content-Range offset is verified; responses that end before the advertised size are retained for a Range retry instead of being committed as completed. - Crash recovery converts interrupted transfers to paused, keeps queued-with-partial rows resumable, and commits finalizations that crashed before the DB update. - Destination collisions are non-destructive (retained partials finalize to the next numbered name); locked .part files never lose their DB owner across cancel/remove/restart; resume claims rows atomically and the queue dedupes ids. - Stored request headers are re-filtered through the User-Agent/Origin/Referer allowlist on read, URL-derived extensions are sanitized, resume appends never follow symlinks, and transfer errors are logged by message only. - UI: pause/resume/cancel/retry/remove surface failures in a snackbar; paused items show an active Resume button in VOD/episode detail views; translations for all 18 locales. - Runtime split into download-runtime/transfer/finalize/broadcast modules; +30 unit tests and an Electron E2E covering pause -> retained .part -> Range/If-Range resume -> byte-exact assembly. test: close coverage gaps in persistence, portal stores, EPG, players, and E2E (#1124)
* test(db): cover playback positions, recently viewed, and connection migrations Add specs for the previously untested persistence paths: playback-position and recently-viewed operations (upsert/dedup/ordering/scoped deletes), shared-database path-utils, createTables and the tolerant column/index migrations incl. Xtream cache deduplication. Exposes createTables through the existing __databaseConnectionTestHooks object. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(xtream): cover the Electron DB-first data source and favorites guards Add specs for electron-xtream-data-source (DB-hit vs cold-cache paths, concurrent request dedup, error propagation, full method delegation) and extend the favorites feature spec with the invalid-input and content-not-found guard paths. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(stalker): cover favorites and recent store features Add specs for with-stalker-favorites and with-stalker-recent: payload normalization and id/title fallbacks, series-mode category forcing, meta sync dispatches, snackbar/callback side effects, and error paths. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(epg): cover archive/summary utils and the EPG worker service Add specs for the pure catch-up window and summary-progress helpers shared by the EPG panels, and for epg-worker.service: in-flight dedup by URL, double-settle guard, progress-aware timeouts, worker lifecycle and error broadcasting. Also settle an interrupted fetch in epg.events.spec that caused "Cannot log after tests are done" in longer runs. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(player): cover the VLC session service Mirror the MPV session spec patterns for VLC: enqueue-command building and RC response parsing, launch argv construction, instance reuse over the RC socket, exit-code handling, and the retry-without-RC fallback. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(e2e): add downloads page and EPG timeline interaction coverage Downloads: empty state without sources, and a full lifecycle - authorize a folder via a stubbed native dialog, download from a local server, verify the completed item and file on disk, remove it from the UI. Timeline: zoom changes block widths and the on-air info affordance opens the programme dialog with the correct title and watch-live action. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test: split oversized specs to meet the file-size guideline Address review feedback: extract shared drizzle mocks into operations.test-helpers.ts and split the Electron data-source delegation spec into delegation + user-data files. Pure reorganization - test counts and assertions unchanged (29/13/10), all files now under 300 lines. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(e2e): wait for DB readiness before opening the downloads page On slow CI runners (macOS) the renderer can query SQLite while the DB worker is still creating tables, leaving the downloads page on its skeleton state forever. Poll a playlist read until it succeeds before navigating on a cold profile. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(build): exclude *.test-helpers.ts from the electron-backend app tsconfig The new operations.test-helpers.ts uses jest globals and broke the webpack build and tsc typecheck, which compile every non-spec file in the app. Exclude the test-helpers pattern alongside the existing spec exclusions.
