Merge origin/master into claude/server-storage-pwa

Resolves tools/performance/journey-baselines.json: master's #1929
(zoneless renderer) lowered renderer.initialBytes to 1,278,278; the
merged tree measures 1,285,523 locally, so the branch's raise is now
7,245 bytes (0.6%), with its note updated.
